Masters of Optometry, Graduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics

Vinita has been an Optometrist for over 20 years and still loves what she does! She has completed her Masters course specialising in Contact lenses and Behavioural Optometry. Her special interests lie in eye diseases, specialised tints, and children's vision. Vinita is very passionate about giving her patients the best level of care she can. She has travelled to Nepal and Mongolia to help with eye camps at remote villages and orphanages which has been a very rewarding part of her career. Vinita also has 3 children and a puppy which keeps her very busy.

Api Balakrishnan

Optometrist

Masters of Clinical Optometry, Bachelor of Vision Science

Api completed her Master of Clinical Optometry and Bachelor of Vision Science, with Ocular Therapeutics qualifications at the University of NSW. Api started practicing in 2022 in the regional town of Dubbo, where she had the opportunity to immerse herself in the community and gain valuable experience in optometry. She has interest in eye diseases, contact lenses, and myopia management and has volunteering experience in Fiji. Outside of work, Api loves being out in nature and trying new things - whether it's exploring new hobbies or just discovering a hidden hiking spot, and spending time with her family.

Alice Calleja

Optical Dispenser/Stylist

Alice has a love for collecting unique jewellery from all over the world. Alice has been in the optical industry for over 30 years and is a qualified optical dispenser. Throughout her career, she has developed a wealth of technical knowledge and experience working across a variety of practices. Alice particularly enjoys helping patients find frames that suit their individual style and personality. She loves the process of styling each patient and encouraging them to step outside their comfort zone to discover something new.

Wendy Brickwood

Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing

Wendy joined our team in July 2022, bringing with her 19 years of experience across various retail industries. Since joining the optical industry, Wendy has continued to grow her knowledge and skills, completing her Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing in 2025 and becoming an important part of our team. Wendy has a strong passion for creating a great customer experience and enjoys bringing her creativity to our social media platforms. Wendy loves music, and you'll often hear her personality shine through in the songs she chooses for our social media posts.
